I'm very excited to announce that starting in August, I'll have a new position at work. I'll still be at the same school but our district is starting a classroom for students with communications disorders. I have been chosen to be the teacher for the program. The majority of the students will be on the severe end of the autistic spectrum. I have always had a special spot for this disorder and am really excited to be able to design an entire classroom and program specifically to provide success for students with autism. It will certainly be an interesting school year with a lot of work but one I am really looking forward to!
