The rest of the day!

So after the Mud Moutain race, our day was still just getting started. You know when you have so much to do and your little one just wants to help but you're going to lose your mind? It's times like these that your guardian angel calls and asks if your daughter wants to come swimming with her kids. My guardian angel's name is Noelle. So Luke got Reagan all ready to go swimming, sunscreen, swim diaper, swim suit, and headed down there so I could get things ready for a cookout that evening. It was glorious, I am amazed and what I get done in a hour when its just me around. Not to mention that Luke now has a new appreciation for what it takes to get a kid ready to swim. He's lucky, I had mercy and got him the two piece and not one with tricky straps.

After swimming we packed up the car and headed to our friends' house for their annual summer cookout. It was a wonderful relaxed time and we just enjoyed hanging out with everyone. Reagan is no longer the only kid in the group but seen as how the other little guy is only 5 months old, she still needs a lot to stay entertained. I always try to bring things to keep her occupied while all of us grown ups hang out.

Apparently, the Dora ball that I packed was actually so much fun that the guys ended up stealing it for a four square game. A four square game that lasted forever, complete with the line on who gets the next turn in the game. Poor Reagan wasn't very happy but luckily I had another ball in the car that she played with for a little while.
After awhile, she ended up with an empty cooler that she decided was a wagon. She pulled her bunny around and then asked one of our friends to pull her around.
Then she said it was his turn!

She was running back and forth, back and forth, sorting the washers so we moved them closer together. Who knew they could be so entertaining. It was a very long day for all of us. Luckily, it was a long enough day that Reagan slept in until 9:00 the next morning. Sheer Bliss!!
