This past weekend Luke ran a 5K called Mud Mountain. The race is held here in Edwardsville on SIUE's cross country trail. Um, basically, he ran through the woods up and down hills on a trail. He was amazing! I am so impressed with how disciplined he is for always getting up in the morning to either run or bike. I know when he finishes these races, that it makes it worth it.
Before the race, the sky was menacing! It was very hot and very, very humid.
At the one mile mark, doing great!
Finishing strong! He met his goal of under 30 minutes. Isn't he amazing??
His ever faithful cheerleader. Reagan is still not quite getting that when we see Luke somewhere along the race routes that he's not going to stop running so she still cries out when he keeps running and doesn't stop. 
Made it through and without any injuries!!! When Luke finished up, Reagan told all the people standing next to us "My Daddy finished! He did good job!!" After the race, Luke went home and mowed the yard. The man is awesome!!
It's so easy to run 5k on a flat surface...but bring in those hills and bumpy grass and you've got a whole new ball game! Good job to your hubby!!
