This weekend we went to Bloomington and dropped Reagan off with Oma and Papa so that Luke and I could drive to Chicago with my parents and go to IKEA. It was our first visit and I am truly in love. We found some great stuff for the house and just enjoyed a nice day of walking around a store without a stroller or a toddler to entertain. We even found a Ted's Montana Grill for lunch. (Ted's is Ted Turner's restaurant and it serves the BEST bison burgers ever!)
While we were indulging in bison burgers, Reagan enjoyed a day at the lake with Oma and Papa. Deb was awesome and took lots of pictures for us. I wasn't there so the captions are my own interpretations from the pictures.
I'm sure in the two pictures above she is saying "No touch it!" The attitude seems pretty evident.

Reagan also went for rides in the boat. When we got back from Chicago, we met them up there to pick up Reagan and also went out on the boat. I'm a very proud land lover but it made Reagan happy for me to go to so off we went!

Doing her best Hawkeye impression I guess. She just kept doing this!
Helping Papa drive, she could use a few more lessons but she did pretty well!
Pouting because I wouldn't let her stick her hands over the edge or sit on her knees on the seats. I am such a mean mommy!

Thank you Oma, Papa, Aunt Barb and Uncle John!!!
After we got back from the lake, we went to a fish fry at a friend's parents' house. This is an annual event that we've unfortunately missed the past few years. We all dated in high school and are all now married with kids. In school we loved getting together for bonfires and whatever else we could find to do out in the country. As we've gotten married and started having babies we've been waiting for the day where our own kids are running around the farms together. Standing outside around the fire, we realized it has finally come and it is just as wonderful as we imagined it would be.
