Changes for Hawkeye

So Hawkeye's room is becoming the nursery again. My parents came down this past weekend and helped move out the guest room furniture and move the rest of the nursery furniture back in. This meant that some of Reagan's furniture also had to get replaced. She got a new dresser- her size and a new bookshelf. She wasn't upset about this at all. In fact, later she took it upon herself to move her clothes. She even got her stool to reach the top drawer. She did a really good job! There's still some organizing and other things to get done and then I'll post pictures. We also got a new swing for the baby. I've been wanting the SweetPeace swing since it came out, Reagan was still small enough to use it then! My parents bought it as a gift for the new baby and so far Stella loves it. Luke and I LOVE that it has a child lock too. :)

In the meantime, Hawkeye won out and his bed is still in the middle of the nursery floor. He's just a big baby. We're giving him until August 1st and then we're moving him. As Luke was moving the bedding from the guest bed downstairs, Hawkeye jumped up from the couch, ran to the room and glared at him the whole time.

Let's just be honest, he might stay in there with the baby. Really, how are we supposed to say no to this face??

In other Hawkeye news, he had a bump on his shoulder that was growing. Luke and I were too freaked out to really talk about it but Reagan and I took him to the doctor today. It is just a cyst, thank goodness. The doctor said surgery is the best way to get rid of it but that it will most likely go away on its own and then could just keep coming back or it might not come back at all. Bulldogs can have a lot of serious trouble with anesthesia and Luke and I have decided against putting him under if its not really necessary. Right now, its not worth the risk. He also has somehow lost more weight. Not a lot but it just surprises us with his lack of activity. Right now, he's fine and we're fine to let him keep deciding if he wants to eat or not.

They had some treat samples at the checkout desk so Reagan gave him one. Apparently, he didn't like it because he immediately spit it out across the floor. I tried to give it back to him and he refused. There was an elderly man who was laughing so hard that I was a little worried he was going to have a heart attack. One thing is for sure, Hawkeye is perfect for our little family and its no surprise that when we walk into the vet's office they know exactly who he is. They always need reminders on our names, but they say Hi to Hawkeye right away.
