Boating!

We spent a morning out on a boat. It was a lot of fun and while I am an avid land lover, we had a great time!

Ready for the lake!

Here we go!

Corbin had a little trouble adjusting the boat and/or life jacket that was the same size as him. He was quite fussy for the start of the trip so I broke my rule and let him have his binkie and tried to let him sleep. It worked, he calmed down, cat napped and felt much better!

All smiles now!

Everyone got a turn to "drive" the boat.

We knew when the boys found the gear shifter because the boat would suddenly slow down.

The calm before the storm....

Suddenly out of nowhere a lake storm began knocking the boat back and forth, it was women and children first to safety as Les fought the waves....okay it really wasn't quite that bad but for a little while, it wasn't exactly a picnic! The rain came and we tried to get around it which mean't going 30mph into the raindrops. That hurt and needless to say, the kids were not to happy about that! We regret that we didn't get a picture of Luke and Blake lounging while we protected the babies! ;)

It cleared and we let Reagan make the decision to stay out or head back. She chose to stay which ended up so great that we let her make more of our decisions for the week. At least one of us is decisive! Here are some swimming pictures.

Life jacket? Check! Floaties? Check! Noodle? Check! Daddy? Check!
Okay, Mommy feels safe enough to let you go in!

We let Corbin "dip" in where Luke could stand. That's all we felt comfortable with so we didn't get any nasty lake water in his ears. He wasn't too impressed so he and I hung out on the boat for a snack.

Such a fish!

Such a ham!

Reagan is definitely a boat person. She LOVED feeling the wind and spray on her face. Her favorite place was at the front of the boat to watch the water.
