As I wrote about earlier, our neighborhood has joined forces to support the organization Cookies for Kids' Cancer during this summer. We'll be hosting 4 bake sales where all proceeds go to this organization in tribute to 2 children some of our neighbors know who are fighting cancer. Please take a moment to check out this site: http://www.cookiesforkidscancer.org/ It is just a fantastic organization that I see us doing a lot for in the future.
The whole point of this organization is to get kids helping kids. So here are Corbin and Reagan ready to bake away!
He is getting too comfortable with the mixer. He has no problem just sticking his hand in for some batter....even if it is running. Good thing I usually always run on slow. Daddy was called in for mixer enforcement.
My baking pro!
All of the money raised by bake sales during the month of May is matched by the organization as the month holds special meaning for the family who began the organization as a tribute to their son who passed away from childhood cancer. Two of our sales are this month and we'll hold two more next month.
We hosted the sale at our house during our subdivision garage sale and it was a great success!
Here is one of our neighbor girls. How could you say no to this advertising?!?!
Miss Reagan trying to draw in some customers.
Corbin was really just in the mood to be outside with no rain!
Here we are Saturday morning after a great storm. Fun!
Here I am pouting because we had such horrible business on Saturday. My goal for garage sales is always get the stuff out of my house and make money second. We did great Friday night and in the end I decided that from now on, everything goes straight to Goodwill and I'll just host a bake sale instead! We made a great amount of money to donate to Cookies for Kids' Cancer and we're looking forward to another great sale!
