A Rare Weekend at Home

It can be usual at times for us to have no big plans for a weekend and that we actually stay in town. Luckily those are our plans for the next few weeks. Yippee! Here are snapshots of life in the slow lane. The fabulous slow lane.

Don't feel too sorry for the dog...he was snoring the whole time.

Friday night we had friends over for burgers and a Kinect party. It was so nice to have a relaxing night and just hang out. Here we are having a princess party. Poor Corbin got kicked out shortly afterwards for not being a girl. Besides he had to go to bed anyhow.

Sunday, Luke went hunting and we broke out the play dough. I have a love/hate relationship with this stuff. Love it because of the learning, fun, and imagination....hate the clean up!

This was Corbin's first real go round with play dough. He was really much more interested in just playing with the tools which was okay. He only tried to eat it once. I really wish I had the camera going when he did that. His face was priceless and he sure didn't try to eat it again!

 Such a play dough pro!

Everyone actually sitting together! This only lasted about 3 minutes before everyone was on the move again.

Having a camp out in the living room.

Back to school on Monday brought us this note from Corbin's teacher. It's kind of hard to read but this was our favorite part:  "I was a very busy man with my new partner in crime. We practiced our climbing skills and enjoyed riding the bike when we should have been napping." I think we're hitting the super fun toddler stage!
