After picking our apples, we made a plan on what to make. Luke wants a pie and Reagan wanted cupcakes. I've never made apple cupcakes but I was able to find a recipe by none other than Martha Stewart so we got to work.
Chopping up and shredding the apples. I have to say that I would not be the baker that I am if I lived in a different century. It is way easier to shred apples by just throwing them in a food processor!
After Corbin realized what we were doing in the kitchen, he ran to Reagan's room and grabbed some baking stuff from the play kitchen so he could bake too.
Adding the apples and sneaking yet another bite of batter.
Licking the spatula! It should be noted that after this we made pumpkin cookies. After her 20 something bite of batter and cookie dough, I said enough was enough. She responded by running to her room and calling Grandma on her play phone. I had her call Grandma for real thinking that surely my mother would back me up on this. Reagan got on the phone and said how I had been mean to her all day and yelled at her. I was definitely naive on that one. Grandma took her side.
I'm not an apple dessert fan but Luke assures me they came out yummy despite my leaving off the fondant leaf. Martha Stewart I am not.
