Honoring the World Trade Center

Today a piece of the World Trade Center was transported to a volunteer fire station here in Edwardsville. My parents were down to visit so they joined us on the parade route to honor such a piece of our history.

There it is. I'm not sure what I was expecting, something bigger I guess. So it was interesting to me that just a small piece of metal brought tears to my eyes.

Here is where the tears really came!

Stubborn little girl!!

Corbin waved the whole time for the all of the motorcycles and fire trucks.

And this was me- in my natural pose around my children!

  1. What an awesome sight! I hadn't heard about this...too bad, I'd have loved to take my crew up to see that! Glad you could share your patriotism with your family!
