Back to School

So, one of the most tragic things happened last week. I took the memory card out of my camera and when I put it in the computer like I do a thousand times...it was corrupted. To the point of no return. Sigh of relief: I usually keep it cleaned off. Heartbreak: traditional first day of school pic is gone. WAAAAHHH! Although, of course I took some other shots throughout the first week so we'll have to settle for those.

Corbin went straight to the 2s room upon returning. We decided why let him get reattached to a classroom only to move two weeks later. I wasn't emotionally prepared for this. I usually send the kids back a week early so I can get my room ready but this summer was so great that I just couldn't. So I was already a little teary when we decided at the last second to do this. So I dropped him with the big kids and promptly called Luke in tears once I got back to the car.

Luke and I always rave about Kindercare and we still love it. The kids love going, we love the teachers that have been there since Reagan was a baby and they are part of our family. I've never thought I would have that traditional pain in my heart of Reagan going off to Kindergarten because she has always gone to school but dropping her off at her last year of Pre-K was a lot harder than I thought. I will be wreck next year!
Corbin had a little trouble adjusting but nothing out of the ordinary for any child. Luckily he has on site support and he got to go visit Reagan a few times during his first week or Reagan would come visit him and help him feel better. She is always helping him get the trucks out or a snack when we drop off so he feels better and Luke and I had several teachers tell us what a great big sister she's been.

Her theme in her room when she returned was the Wild West. So here is her wanted poster. Also, she announced that she never wants to live in the wild west because they didn't have potties and had to go potty in a hole in the ground. Gross!! ;)
