We went to Atlanta for a long weekend for part of our Spring Break. It was a great time and we were able to visit with Luke's family for a few days and relax. We left on Friday after school and got to Dawn and Blake's house around 3:00 in the morning their time. Luke is amazing and drove the whole way there. We have never been so thankful for a portable DVD player than then. Reagan watched Backyardigans the whole way down and I never had to even open the busy bag. Here are few pictures of the trip.

One night we went to the Marietta Diner and really could've skipped the actual dinner. We got dessert to go and the portions were RIDICULOUS. I had to try this mousse tower and it was worth it. They had to package it all crazy for us to take it to go. After three sittings, I was able finish the wonderful yummy chocolate.

We celebrated the Spring Birthdays while we were in Atlanta and Reagan got some wonderful dress up toys from Aunt Dawn, Uncle Blake and Aunt Laura. She loved them and looked adorable! She's already better at walking in heels than me.

Reagan does like to wipe down everything she can find and at one point she started cleaning Aunt Dawn's walls, not that she had any reason to!

Here's Aunt Dawn getting a little cuddle time with Hawkeye and Duncan.
We went to a park and took a hike on the one warm day we were there. Here we are playing for a few minutes before the hike.

We started off strong up the mountain and then of course took turns carrying Reagan through the rest of the hike. For someone who can't get enough shoulder rides, she sure didn't want one that day. That was fun. Carrying a 30 + pound squirming toddler up a mountain while almost 5 months pregnant. I don't want to hear any whiney pregnant chicks telling me they're tired from working part time and don't already have kiddos at home. You know who are you. ;)

At the top of the mountain was a great view and a nice little balcony to sit and look out over the city. Reagan thoroughly enjoyed giving me mini heart attacks by getting too close the edge of the trail or looking through the slats of the balcony. (yes there was a flimsly mesh gate, but still!) Thank goodness for Luke's "cat like reflexes." (Love you sweetie!)

We made it throught the hike and I really would like to go a couple of times a week but Luke said there are no parks similar close to us. Man, Illinois is just too flat.
There are so many other pictures and most of the really great ones are on Deb's and Laura's cameras so we'll get them later but one last little Thank You....

My husband is one very patient man. The trip home started off with me in a cranky mood. Instead of griping back at me, he very calmly typed Starbucks into the Tom Tom and got me my hot chocolate. We both about cried when the magical DVD player wasn't working for the first 45 minutes of the trip but fate had mercy and it began working again. He explained to Reagan that he really didn't need to wipe off the mix of pollen and snow off the car despite the repeated requests of "Daddy, wipe snow!" He then remained calm and smiled when I had him take exits at the last minute because I saw a subway sign and was hungry only to decide there was no way that paticular subway was up to the health code and there was no way I was going into that gas station to use the restroom. He instead got back on the highway and tried again and prayed for me to just fall asleep. Luke drove the whole way home again and pulled into the driveway to see our house decorated for our arrival.
