Getting into the Spirit

This year the kids put together shoeboxes for Operation Christmas Child. We picked up boxes from church and filled them with approved items. Corbin packed for a boy.

Reagan packed for girl.

We put labels on them and hope to track their journey to children overseas.

Pretty sure we'll make this a tradition.

Our Elf on the Shelf Ruby came back this year. Reagan may only be 4 but she's smart as a whip and it's taken a little- okay a lot- of extra effort from us this year to make her believe. Thankfully there was a t.v. special where all the elves got together and made a show and if it's on t.v. then it has to be true, right? Luke has been great about coming up with tricks for Ruby to do overnight while the kids are sleeping. Here is he making a snow fort.

Reagan had a very special date with Aunt Jennie. They went to see Reagan's all time favorite movie, White Christmas at the old rehabbed Normal theater. Jennie said she sang along to all of the songs and chatted along because we do have the movie memorized. This was the first movie she would actually watch and remains her favorite, no matter what time of year it is.

Corbin loves walking around in a Santa hat.

The kids also "helped" Papa put their lights up this year.

We hope everyone else is having a great start to the Holiday season as well!
