Warrior Dash 2011

This weekend we traveled back up to the Warrior Dash. We had so much fun last year that we couldn't wait to do it again. This year's course was a lot tougher than last years. Check out the obstacles: http://www.warriordash.com/register2011_midwest.php

They had tow trucks ready to go for cars that got stuck. Luke and Mike helped push two cars out themselves. Good thing the tank has 4 wheel drive!

 We did it!!!

 I was in much better shape after this year's than last. I met my goal of not puking afterwards and finished the race laughing as I was getting my medal, I slipped and fell flat on my butt!

 Time to get showered off. This was not as great of a setup as last year. Luckily we learned well and were prepared to get cleaned properly when we got back to the car. We even had enough jugs of water to pass on to others for when they finished. 

The shoes all get recycled. This was only a few hours worth. Each heat has about 550 runners. They start at 8 and run a heat every half until around 6:30. For two days! Think of the shoe pile at the end of that.

This was the best shot I could get of the turkey legs you can get there. And of course beer. 

We got a picture last year with some crazies so we decided to make it tradition. I got lucky. The guy I'm standing with actually has a speedo on. Tiffany's guy had some handprints painted on his butt cheeks but nothing else. Good luck on those obstacles buddy...ouch!
