Part of why we braved the storm to head North this weekend was to celebrate one of my best and dearest friends, Annette. We've been friends since high school although we've known each other since grade school. Annette graduated from U of I with a degree in agriculture. After working for a few years, she decided she wanted something different so 2 years ago she quit her job and went back to school. She graduated this weekend with her nursing degree and will begin a new job as a pediatric nurse at St. Francis.
She is amazing in so many ways, mostly because she had the courage to up and quit her job, go back to school full time and all while raising two very small children. Annette and I are definitely soul mates and it's about time they moved down here to be closer to us. ;) Congratulations Annette, love you girl!!
