It never fails. Whenever we drive up for bake day, we get horrible weather. This may have been the worst yet. Bloomington was under a blizzard warning and for good reason! We were able to get back home by going nice and slow. We left and kept saying we'll go and turn around if we need to. Eventually we got to the point where we had gone far enough that it made more sense to keep going instead of turning back.
So glad to have the 4 wheel drive in the tank. There was one point where we saw so many semi's that had spun out and were facing us that I felt like we were going the wrong way. Luke is a great driver and has great instincts to know that we were safe and okay to keep going. It may have taken us about an hour and half longer than usual but we did it. :)
My vote is to move Bake Day to July. Anyone else??
