Busy Weekend!

We went home this weekend to help throw Aunt Dawn's baby shower. I would say it was a wonderful success with lots of good food, yummy cookie cake and ADORABLE little baby boy outfits. I'll let Dawn share pictures on her blog, of course. We are all so excited to get a little nephew because I already really love being an aunt. Its so much fun to spoil away!
Reagan enjoyed sleeping in the big kid fire truck bed. She did a great job of going to bed both nights. She decided to play big girl all weekend. :,( She asked to go potty a few times and actually went when she asked to go! (One time I asked her and I was right! Go me!) She also practiced drinking out of a big girl cup a lot. Luke and I can't believe how fast she's growing up. I can't believe how many emotions you can through in just one day as a mommy. One minute you're furious with behavior tantrums, then you're so proud your heart can just burst, then so sad at how fast everything changes and so amazed at how much you love a little creature so much, then hurt because their cough can just break your heart and then laughing so hard at the way they dance to their music. It really is a roller coaster and we're so happy to be on the ride.
We spent Valentine's Day celebrating Dawn and Baby K. Then we went to dinner with Uncle Blake's family who were in town for the shower. Unfortunately, it had been a bit much for Reagan as she is fighting a pretty nasty cold and dinner was really close to bed time. I ended up taking her home from the restaurant when she kept putting herself in "time out" and asking for a "break?" She had found a little alcove by the restrooms at the restaurant and kept sitting down and saying "break." The real teller was when she wouldn't even sit to eat french fries. I scooped her up and went and cuddled in the fire truck bed together until she fell asleep. Yes, I fit in the bed and its actually very comfortable. :o)

Here we are before we headed out to dinner. Not quite sure why Luke and I are tilting to the side...
