After our visit to Indianapolis, we received very sad news that Luke's Grandma B had passed away. We immediately went to Bloomington to be with family and after a long and emotional week we went to the county fair for some quality family time with Luke's parents and sisters. It was a great way to spend time together and reminisce about the summers we spent there growing up.
Here we go!
First stop: Rabbit barn! For those of you that don't know, Luke raised prize winning rabbits for years in 4H. So he was excited to show the kids what he used to do.
Already sleepy, but he woke up pretty quickly!
My whole world. :)
Petting a sheep. Corbin wasn't as interested.
I took Reagan over to the midway to go on some rides while Luke caught up with some friends of ours. Does this picture not break your heart? Tip toes and all, just not quite there. However, of the rides that she was okay to go on, she was too scared to try any of them. So we went with our trusty standby....
We love us some carousel!
Made sure we got the right kind of balloon for the kids. :)
Somehow a few weeks ago, we talked about elephant ears (the fried kind) and Reagan was absolutely horrified at the thought of eating one, no matter how much we tried to explain what it was. So this was the perfect opportunity for her to see (and taste) what we meant. Needless to say, she loved it, and the funnel cake, the corn dog and the pork burger. Gotta love fair food!
Corbin enjoyed some goldfish. Just a few more weeks and I'll let him try some sweets. :)
