Now that Corbin is 4 months old, has more than doubled his birth weight and is chewing on his hands like crazy, we tried some rice cereal. He wasn't too terribly impressed.
Pushing it all right back out
Not quite sure about this stuff
Reagan of course wanted to try and she really did a great job of giving small bites and made sure the spoon didn't go too far back.
We did cereal for about three nights and are now taking a break from it. Like I said he wasn't terribly interested and he's still fine getting everything he needs from his bottles. Also, our poor little guy has had a horrible cold which turned out to be RSV along with an ear infection. As freaked out as Luke and I were by that, Corbin is doing okay. His lungs are clear and he's breathing at 100% so we're just waiting it out and keeping a close, (VERY close) eye on him. We had to cancel his 4 month doctor's visit and replaced it with a sick visit. We'll go back in a couple of weeks so the doctor can make sure he's healthy and he can get his shots. We'll also check with the doctor about his eyes because he somehow got "pink eye" again as soon as we went to Normal for the holidays. We think it's pretty unlikely that he keeps getting it only up there so we're going to see if it's allergies to the cats at both grandparent houses. Luckily I always travel with pink eye meds anyhow. Some things you just learn to do with a 2 year old.
